Newington Police Collecting Food Saturday

NEWINGTON, CT — Newington's finest will be doing its finest to help those who are hungry as the cold weather season approachs.

The Newington Police Department Saturday, Oct. 29, will be at the Newington Stop & Shop on 44 Fenn Road collecting food donations for Newington Human Services.

They will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and shoppers can do their grocery shopping and offer a helping hand to their community in the process.

"Please consider stopping by and making a donation that directly supports the Newington community," wrote the NPD in a social media post.
