Newington Winter Sports Schedule Set to Begin: Each Team's Openers

NEWINGTON, CT — Since last week, winter teams have been practicing at Newington High School, and soon the regular season schedule will kick off.

Here are the scheduled official opening contests for each Indian varsity squad.

• girls basketball - Monday, 12/12, Newington at Rockville, 6:45 p.m.
• wrestling - Wednesday, Dec. 14, Rocky Hill at Newington, 5 p.m.
• girls indoor track - Friday, Dec. 16, Newington at Hillhouse Invitational, 4 p.m.
• boys basketball - Saturday, Dec. 17, Newington at Bloomfield, 4 p.m.
• boys swimming - Tuesday, Dec. 20, Manchester/Cheney Tech at Newington, 3:45 p.m.
• ice hockey - Wednesday, Dec. 21, Hall/Southington at Newington/Berlin/Manchester/Cromwell, 5:05 p.m.
