• Hartford police identify Newington man killed in shooting that wounded 4 others (ctpost.com) — A 32-year-old Newington man, Joseph Texidor, was killed in a Hartford shooting on Wethersfield Avenue that also wounded four others early Sunday. Hartford police say all surviving victims are now stable and are asking anyone with information to contact their tip line as Major Crimes detectives investigate.
   

• Cyclospora outbreak drives more shoppers to Connecticut farm stands (wfsb.com) — A Newington resident is among many shoppers turning to nearby farm stands after a Cyclospora outbreak linked to packaged lettuce sickened thousands. Farms in Rocky Hill and Berlin say they've nearly sold out of lettuce and are seeing customers buy more local produce overall, citing safety and support for local growers.
