• Fundraisers Launched For Hartford, Rocky Hill Officers Shot In Newington (patch.com) — Community fundraisers are underway for Hartford Officer Alex Diaz and Rocky Hill Officer Jon Escobar, both wounded in a pursuit that ended with gunfire on Webster Court in Newington. The suspect was killed, and state investigators are reviewing the shooting. Residents across the region are donating to help the officers and their families during recovery.
