Powerball Ticket Worth a Quarter-Million Sold in Newington

NEWINGTON, CT — A quarter-million-dollar winning ticket in the Powerball lottery game sold at a Newington gas station was claimed on Tuesday, lottery officials said.

It was one of two big winners in the area over the past week's time.

Here are the latest winners of $10,000 or more from Tolland and Hartford counties in assorted Connecticut Lottery games over the past week.
