1 Dead, 1 Injured In New London Crash, Police Say
One driver is dead and another injured following a two-vehicle accident Tuesday, according to police.
NEW LONDON, CT — Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left one person dead and another injured in New London.
The accident was reported in the area of Phillips Street and Fourth Avenue at 12:02 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
Two drivers were involved in the accident. One was unresponsive when police arrived; the other was alert and conscious.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital for treatment. The unresponsive driver was later declared dead at the hospital.
An investigation into the crash remains active.
