2 In Custody Following Fight At New London Graduation: Report
Two adults were taken into police custody after a fight at New London High School's graduation ceremony.
NEW LONDON, CT — Two people were taken into custody after a fight at New London High School's graduation ceremony Tuesday, The New London Day reported. Police responded to a report of a fight at the ceremony shortly before 5:30 p.m.
One of the people involved in the fight, Shabela Santiago, 28, of Hartford, had an arrest warrant out of Hartford. Santiago was taken into police custody.
A second person, Lydia Torres, 53, of Hartford, was removed from the property and told not to return by school staff and police. However, Torres attempted to reenter the ceremony twice and was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and interfering with police.
