Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse. NEW LONDON, CT — Two people are facing gun charges in New London, according to police. Officers responded to a shooting Wednesday at 3:44 a.m. at 1 Ocean Ave. Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Bank Street and Ocean Avenue. One of the vehicle's passengers fled on foot but was later caught. Ezekiel Catala, 18, of New London, had dropped a gun in the car prior to fleeing, according to police. A second passenger in the vehicle, Syaire Wilson, 18, of New London, was also in possession of a gun, police said. The guns appear to be unrelated to the shooting investigation on Ocean Avenue. Both cases are still under investigation. Catala was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, weapon in a motor vehicle, and interfering with police. Wilson was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit and weapon in a motor vehicle.
