2 New London Police Officers Retire After 25 Years On The Job
Police officers Sgt. Kevin McBride and Master Patrolman Larry Lee retire after 25 years serving the city and residents of New London.

NEW LONDON, CT—After a quarter of a century each on the job as New London police officers, Sgt. Kevin McBride and Master Patrolman Larry Lee have just retired.
McBride, who joined the department in 1994, is also a reserve criminal investigatorfor the Coast Guard Investigative Service. He earned criminal justice degrees from Three Rivers and the University of New Haven, according to his LinkedIn profile.
In 2016, McBride was presented a mayoral and city proclamation for finding as evading suspect vehicle that struck and killed a Connecticut College student crossing Rte 32.

Lee, who posted poignant and some funny moments on Facebook, shared his last radio transmission. He thanked the men and women he worked with for more than 25 years.
"Make sure you go home to your loved ones after every shift," he says noting the dangers of the job. "Never forget we all gave some, but some gave all."

"Best wishes to both Sgt. Kevin McBride and Master Patrolman Larry Lee for happy retirements. Thank you both for your loyal and dedicated 25 years of service to the New London Police Department. You both will be missed, but never forgotten," the New London Police Department posted to Facebook.
And the New London Police Union honored the two officers on a post to Facebook.
