3 Heroin Overdose Victims Saved in New London

Local firefighters and EMTs rescued them Saturday afternoon.

Three people who overdosed on heroin Saturday afternoon were injected with Narcan and revived by New London firefighters and EMTs, according to fire officials.

The Day reports that two of the victims were discovered in a car at the New London Shopping Center and the third was found on Bank Street.

After being revived, the victims were taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment.

In recent days, New London County has seen an unprecedented number of heroin overdoses, primarily due to a particularly potent supply of the drug which has hit the streets.
