This memorial scholarship fund was started in memory of Pamela Lancaster Pettinari ‘77, who passed away in 2010 after a courageous eight-year battle with cancer. Pamela, a native of New London, earned a Bachelor’s degree from Skidmore College. After graduation she returned to New London to teach Physical Education at the Williams School, becoming the School’s first African-American teacher. As an educator, businesswoman, and humanitarian, Pam focused on excellence in all aspects of her life. It is in this spirit that the family wanted to honor her life. The scholarship seeks to assist underserved students who are attending or planning to attend The Williams School.
