4 Men, 2 Juveniles Charged In 15 Person Fight In New London
Police said they arrested four men and two juveniles charged in connection to a large-scale fight in New London.
NEW LONDON, CT - Police said they arrested four men and two juveniles charged in connection to a large-scale fight in New London. The incident occurred Thursday at approximately 2:40 p.m., police said.
Officers were alerted after receiving reports of a group walking in the area of Robinson Street and Shaw Street carrying sticks, bats and bottles. Police said the suspects made reference to assaulting someone, according to a release. (To sign up for New London breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Officers observed approximately fifteen men actively fighting upon arrival, who fled in various vehicles and on foot after seeing police. Officers also received information that several of the men involved were possibly armed with firearms.

A subsequent motor vehicle stop resulted in the arrest of four men, one juvenile, and the seizure of a large knife.
A search of the initial area revealed more suspects, all of whom fled the area on foot attempting to elude officers. After an extensive search of the area, officers located two more males involved in the altercation after they attempted to elude officers on foot.

Officers arrested a total of six males, four men and two juveniles, for various charges.
Those arrested include:
- Marvens Medena, 18, of Norwich charged with breach of peace and interfering with police
- Kenny Noel, 18, of Taftville charged with breach of peace
- Khijiemh Miller, 18, of Norwich charged with breach of peace
- Mario Vargas, 19, of New London charged with breach of peace, interfering with police and carrying a dangerous weapon.
Police said two juveniles were also charged with breach of peace. No injuries were reported as a result of this altercation.
