NEW LONDON, CT — A developer is altering plans to construct a 235-apartment development in a blighted area, according to The Day of New London.
The $50-million development is planned for Howard and Hamilton streets and comes from Norwalk-based Spinnaker Real Estate Partners.
The developer is tweaking the project's layout so there will still be access to an adjacent restaurant, Captain Scott's Lobster Dock, during construction.

The apartments will be a mix of efficiency and one-, two- and three-bedroom units.
The development will also include 14,810 square feet of amenity space for residents with a pool and a public access boardwalk along Shaw's Cove.
There will also be 287 parking spaces located in a garage in one of the apartment buildings.
