The Artist WithIN, glbtq art exhibit, at Lyman Allyn Art Museum!
Celebrate Pride month and the opening of the exhibit with a Masquerade Ball!
On behalf of OutCT Board member and exhibit organizer, Amy Hannum, the 3rd annual Artist WithIN exhibition features artists identifying as less than 100% heterosexual. Why the distinction? Though the LGBTQ community is making strides toward equality we still have a way to go. This show is dedicated to those potentially marginalized by their gender identity or sexual orientation. The subject of artwork submitted does not need to portray LGBTQ issues or lifestyle.
Dress for success and vote for your favorite work of art at the Masquerade Ball! Dance to the sounds of DJ Gadget as you whirl about in your finest costumed creations. Masks and extravagant hair pieces are a great way to play up a simpler outfit, but feel free to push the boundaries. We will vote for favorite costume, as well as favorite work of art that evening. Noshes provided by Fromage of Old Saybrook and wine will be on hand to refuel you.
