Attempted Murder Arrest Made In New London: PD
A woman sustained a severe stab wound after a knife attack, police said.

NEW LONDON, CT — Officers charged a New London man with attempted murder after he stabbed a woman Friday afternoon, according to police. Police were called to Belden Street and Belden Court around 1 p.m. on a report of a woman who had been stabbed.
A female stabbing victim was found by police and was transported to the hospital. She sustained a severe stab wound to her upper torso, said Capt. Brian Wright, police spokesman.
Officers found Kyle McKinnon, 27, along with the knife at the scene. He was taken into custody without incident. The victim and McKinnon know each other.

McKinnon was charged with criminal attempted murder, carrying a dangerous weapon and breach of peace. He is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
