Automotive Repair Facility Pitched For New London
The facility would also allow for towing services and the sale of tires.

NEW LONDON, CT — Colmen St. Auto is seeking approval from the Planning and Zoning Board to allow for an automotive repair facility with new and used car sales at 434 Colman Street.
Uzair Manzoor, of Quaker Hill stated that the application is to operate a general automotive repair facility with new and used tire sales as well as towing services, according to recent meeting minutes. Mr. Manzoor stated that the car parts and tires would be stored inside the building
Assistant Planner Michelle Johnson Scovish noted that Manzoor responded to the staff comments, however a modified plan should be submitted to the commission for their review; as an agent for the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), the commission approves the use on site.

She questioned which portion of the parcel would be used for the proposed business and stressed that the map submitted to the PZC should be the same one that would by submitted to the DMV.
Scovish questioned where the tow trucks would be parked and noted that the plans also need to include the fencing, according to meeting minutes. Paul Reid suggested that there is enough outstanding information that the commission should consider tabling the item to the next meeting to allow the applicant to address all of the staff comments and provide updated plans.
