Connecticut College won all three doubles matches against their neighbors at the Coast Guard Academy and defeated the Bears 5-4 in a men's tennis match on Tuesday. The following information was provided by the Coast Guard Academy Athletic Department:
The doubles matches were closely contested, but the Camels managed to sweep all three. The closest match was #3 doubles with junior co-captain Greg Mitchell and junior Matt Faha falling to freshman Will Tucker and sophomore Mike Decorato 7-4 in the tiebreaker.
Singles points were won by Mitchell (#1), sophomore Blake Maurer (#5), and freshmen Chris Hoffman (#3) and Josh Fischer (#4).
The match was moved indoors in the middle of the doubles action due to rain.
