Boat Engines, Equipment Stolen From New London Sailing Community

NEW LONDON, CT — The New England Science & Sailing Foundation said it has had equipment and boat engines stolen from a floating dock by Greens Harbor Beach, The New London Day reported. The stolen items are reportedly worth about $12,000.

Officials from the sailing foundation said the stolen items are used to teach New London youth how to sail as well as build skills in teamwork and self-confidence.

There were two thefts at the nonprofit organization in recent days, and police are investigating. Read the full story in The New London Day.
