Bobcat Euthanized After Attacking Connecticut Family

A truly scary story out of a rural part of Connecticut.

Tom and Summer Berube were out for a walk with their newborn child in Lebanon when out of nowhere appeared a bobcat that was running straight for them, NBC Connecticut.

Tom grabbed a mailbox to defend his family and swung and hit the bobcat as it leaped at his family, NBC reports.

The bobcat kept circling and charging at his family until the state Department of Emergency and Environmental Protection arrived and were able to euthanize the bobcat.

The bobcat also attacked another woman the day before and then started attacking dogs, NBC reported.
