Body Discovered In New London Woods; Police Investigate

NEW LONDON, CT — Police are investigating a suspicious death after a body was discovered in a wooded area over the weekend. Police received a call at 7:02 p.m. Saturday reporting a partially decomposed body had been discovered at Cedar Grove Cemetery at 638 Broad St.

Officers confirmed the initial report that a dead man had been found in a remote wooded area of the cemetery. Members of the New London Police Department Investigative Services Division as well as personnel from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner responded to the scene.

Investigation into the suspicious death is ongoing.
