An Artist's Journey
Studio 33 Art & Frame Gallery presents a new exhibition, An Artist’s Journey, featuring the paintings of local artist Tyler Allyn. The show opens May 1st, closes May 30th, with a reception on May 2, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. The reception will coincide with the very first, New London First Saturday, New London Cultural District event. This is the artists very first show, Studio 33 is very happy to present his work to the community.
Tyler’s painting, Melancholy Flow, Acrylic, 6X12, $35, will be interpreted with a flower arrangement by Fisher Florist for New London In Bloom by New London Cultural District.The arrangement will be on view in the gallery through Mother’s Day.
Tyler Allyn is a self-taught artist working out of a private studio in southeastern CT supported by a close-knit family environment. Tyler began his artistic journey through art therapy during a period marked by significant medical challenges where chronic pain and isolation left him in a dark place. Through art therapy, he discovered a powerful emotional outlet utilizing various mediums. This exploration led him to acrylic paint pouring where he discovered various techniques such as Dutch pour, Swipe pour, Dirty pour to express his inner experiences. His work reflects deeply personal struggles while transforming them into movement and color on the canvas. Through painting, Tyler has found not only healing, but a renewed sense of purpose; “Through painting I release what I carry inside – Each piece is a reflection of struggle, healing, and the search for light and purpose”
