 experience needed! Perfect for first-timers. Using the Tiffany copper 
foil method of stained glass construction, you will make and take home a
 unique and colorful stained glass feather. You will learn the basic 
skills of glass cutting, grinding, copper foiling, and soldering while 
you make your feather from a choice of several patterns. These feathers 
are elegant on their own or suitable for embellishment with beads, 
leather, wirework, or assembled into mobiles.
All materials included.
Be sure to bring your lunch with you. There will not be enough time to get food off-site. Please note: sufficient hand dexterity and the ability to stand while working with tools are required. Closed-toed shoes must be worn. This class is made possible by the support of The Dime Bank Foundation and Charter Oak Federal Credit Union.

In this class, you will learn 3D CAD modeling basics (using Onshape). Laptop required.
You will learn Parametric CAD basics in this class. Enjoy learning to design a 3D object! This class will take you through the basics of using Onshape CAD software.
Specific topics covered in the class:
<ul><li>Basic 2D sketching with constraints</li><li>Extrude</li><li>Revolve</li><li>Loft</li><li>Solid boolean operations (union, subtract difference)</li></ul>
Don't worry if you don't know these terms; this is a fun entry-level class! We'll teach you the lingo.
Each student must bring a laptop computer running modern Windows, Linux, or Mac OS and a real mouse. Doing CAD with a touchpad is next to impossible. Students must have Google Chrome browser installed.

Join Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut for the 1st Annual Habitat Classic — a fall golf tournament raising funds to build homes for families across Eastern Connecticut.

Habitat has land ready for 65 homes in Eastern Connecticut. Families are already waiting — more than can be served right now. The only thing standing between them and homeownership is the funding to build. This is why we golf.
Enjoy 18 holes on one of Eastern Connecticut's premier golf courses in support of a mission that builds real homes for real families right here in our community.

Rustic-chic private farm venue in scenic Stonington, CT 

Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse.
