Camels Take Home Tennis Win
Connecticut College defeats Babson College at away men's tennis game

Connecticut College picked up a men's tennis victory over Babson College on Thursday. The following information was provided by William Tomasian, sports information director at Connecticut College:
Visiting Connecticut College followed up a doubles sweep by taking the top four singles matches en route to a 7-2 victory over host Babson College in non-conference men's tennis action at the Farwell Courts on Thursday afternoon. With the win, the Camels moved back over the .500 mark at 7-6, while the Beavers slipped to 5-11.
Connecticut College built an early 3-0 advantage by winning all three doubles matches, including an 8-3 win at number one by the team of first-year John Cangelosi (Estero, Fla.) and junior George King (Concord, Mass.). The closest match came at number two, where Babson's duo of first-year Roy Murdock (Santa Monica, Calif.) and junior Zach Ringer (Minnetonka, Minn.) lost a hard-fought battle with the senior tandem of Jeff Weisberger (Wayne, N.J.) and Jeremy Bader (Lexington, Mass.), 8-6.

The Beavers secured their only two points of the day in singles competition, as sophomore Hubert Cromback (Cambridge, Mass.) collected a 7-5, 6-1 victory at number five and Ringer added a 6-2, 7-5 win at six. However, the Camels took the remaining four matches to clinch the overall victory, including a 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7) super-breaker win by Weisberger at number one.
Babson wraps up its conference slate with a NEWMAC match at Springfield on Saturday before returning home for a Senior Day contest against Emerson on Monday afternoon. Connecticut College will also compete in league action on Saturday, heading to Maine for a NESCAC contest at Bates.
