Car Stolen From New London Funeral Home Intercepted By Cops
The car was one of two being sought.

VERNON, CT - Vernon police intercepted a stolen car out of New London on Wednesday.
According to a news release, on Wednesday at about 1 p.m., Vernon Police arrested Dylan Briggs, 26, of 100 West St., Vernon and Joshua Iavarona, 21, of 226 Broad St., Meriden, after they were stopped on West Street in a stolen motor vehicle - a 2016 Subaru Forester, police said.
Police said the investigation began earlier that morning when officers were investigating the overnight car theft of a 2006 Honda Civic from a residence on Morrison Street in Vernon.

Working with troopers from the State Police Troop E barracks in Montville, Briggs and Iavarona were identified as suspects in the thefts of the stolen Honda and Subaru.
The Forester had been stolen from a funeral home in New London, police said.

Both Briggs and Iavarona were arrested and charged with first- and third-degree larceny for the stolen Subaru and Honda.
They were held overnight in lieu of $50,000 bonds, police said.
Briggs and Iavarona were to be arraigned Thursday at Rockville Superior Court, police said.
