Coast Guard Rescues Man from Water After Watch Hill Fall

He was rescued Tuesday night after members of his boat's crew were unable to do so.

NEW LONDON, CT- Coast Guard Station New London members rescued a man who had fallen off of Watch Hill from the water Tuesday night, as reported by The Day.

Coast Guard officials received a call close to 9:30 p.m. that the man had fallen and members of his boat’s crew were unable to rescue him, The Day reported. The Coast Guard then launched a 45-foot response boat.

After several attempts, Coast Guard officials pulled the man from the water close to 10:15 p.m., according to The Day. He was evaluated by Mystic fire officials and had no apparent injuries or issues, despite being in the water for 45 minutes.
