Coffee With Cops Coming Up In New London

NEW LONDON, CT — The New London Police Department will host a Coffee with Cops event next week.

The event will be at Dunkin' at 175 Broad St. on Jan. 16 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Police wrote in a Facebook post:

"Join members of our department for coffee, conversation and yes … maybe a something good to eat. Meet the officers in your neighborhood, ask questions, voice concerns or just enjoy a cup of joe in a friendly, agenda-free environment.

"We believe that effective police services are delivered in collaboration with an engaged and involved public, and that police must be available to the public that it serves."
