Conn College Women Compete In Mayor's Cup

Camels head to Boston for cross country race

The following information was provided by William Tomasian, sports information director at Connecticut College:

Members of the Connecticut College women's cross country team visited Boston Sunday to compete in the Mayor's Cup at Franklin Park. This was an open race.

Ali Cookson (Beverly, Mass.) paced the Camels with a time of 23:07 on the 5k course. Anna Curtis-Heald (Cumberland Foreside, Maine) was next in 23:21. Junior Catherine Hallisey (Wethersfield, Conn.) set a personal record with a time of 23:25.

Sophomore Maddy Conley (Dummerston, Vt.) checked in with a time of 23:42. Ali McLeod (Brewster, Mass.) posted a time of 24:24 to round out the top five.

Both assistant coaches took part in the open race. Matt Dyer (Westford, Mass.) posted a time of 18:34 while Molly Powell of Waterford crossed the finish line in 20:28.
