Connecticut College Women's Tennis Team Improves Over Wesleyan University
Camels earn second consecutive conference win

The Connecticut College women's tennis team defeated Wesleyan University for a 5-4 NESCAC victory on Tuesday night. The following information was provided by William Tomasian, sports information director for Connecticut College:
The Camels improve to 9-11 (2-5 NESCAC) with their second consecutive conference win, while the Cardinals fall to 11-6 with a 2-4 mark in league play.
Sophomore Cassie Smith (Shelburne, Vt.) paved the way to the victory for the Camels. Smith posted a 7-6, 6-4 triumph at #1 singles and teamed up with classmate Jen Herbert (Pawcatuck, Conn.) on a 9-7 win at #1 doubles.

Joining Smith in the winners circle in singles action were sophomore Sara Krivoshik (Wilton, Conn.) and junior Brittany Badik (Madison, Conn.). Krivoshik cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 victory at #4 singles while Badik gutted out a three set win at fifth singles.
Badik and Brittney Cangemi (Scituate, Mass.) paired up for an 8-5 win at third doubles.
