Crazy Connecticut Driveway Contest Launched

Local driveways can be "insane" in the winter. New London residents are invited to enter the Crazy Connecticut Driveway contest.

KEEP IN TOUCH, a Vernon-based business known for its quirky contests, launched the first-ever Crazy Connecticut Driveway Contest today. Snow plow drivers and homeowners who live in the state’s heavily-forested, hilly, rugged, rocky terrain are invited to submit digital images of their crazy winter driveways by March 15. Submissions will then be reviewed and a winner selected by late March, in time for the arrival of spring. To enter, visit the contest page on www.KeepTouch.com.

Over the years, KEEP IN TOUCH has sponsored a variety of contests, including several “I Survived the Winter” essay and coloring contests and the popular “Find the KIT Cat” contest. This year’s Crazy Connecticut Driveway Contest was conceived by owner Drew Crandall, who has an “insane” driveway himself. “Country living in Connecticut is excellent,” he says, “but it also comes with definite challenges. Dealing with winter weather is one of them.”
