Dead Dog Found In Trash Bag In New London, Police Say

An investigation is underway after the dog's body was found over the weekend.

NEW LONDON, CT — Police are investigating after a dead dog was found in a trash bag in New London.

Animal Control responded to a call for service reporting the dead dog found in the area of Gallows Lane and Willow Street on Saturday at 1:55 p.m.

The trash bag containing the dog's body was found and reported by a motorist. The dog was male, compact, toy-sized, and tan and black.

The investigation remains ongoing.
