Death Of Woman Found In New London Parking Lot Ruled Accidental
A Groton woman was found unresponsive in a parking lot and later died. Her death has been ruled accidental, according to reports.

NEW LONDON, CT — A Groton woman was found unresponsive in a New London parking lot June 21 and later died.
Her death has been ruled accidental by the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, WFSB 3-TV reported.
Lindsay Melher, 46, reportedly died due to blunt impact injury to the head. Melher was hit by a vehicle, according to WTNH News-8.

Police and firefighters responded to a call June 21 at 10:47 p.m. reporting an injured woman in the parking lot of 48 Ocean Ave. in New London.
Emergency responders arrived and provided medical aid to the woman, who was found "bleeding and unresponsive," according to police.

She was taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Police said in an update Monday that Melher had died.
The investigation is ongoing.
