Director Used Over $100K In Organization's Funds For Personal Use, New London Police Say
The executive director of an educational organization is facing larceny charges, according to police.
NEW LONDON, CT — The executive director of an educational organization is facing allegations that she used more than $100,000 for personal expenses, according to police.
Katherine Dunn, 48, of New London, has been charged with first-degree larceny.
Dunn was the executive director of Higher Edge Inc. Higher Edge describes its mission as "empower(ing) limited income, first generation students to enter, succeed in and graduate from college."

While employed there, Dunn "improperly used organizational funds for personal purposes" between 2021 and March 2026, police said.
She was taken into custody Monday. Dunn posted a court-set cash/surety bond of $109,000.

She is scheduled to appear in court June 15.
The investigation remains ongoing.
