DOT to Inspect New London Bridge Using Unmanned Drone

The inspection is part of an ongoing evaluation of new technology.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation will conduct an inspection of the Gold Star Memorial Bridge on Tuesday, using an unmanned drone, NBC Connecticut reported.

The bridge consists of two spans crossing the Thames River from New London to Groton, according to The Day. A routine inspection was last done in October.
