With work spanning nearly three decades, this exhibit examines the art and career of Qimin Liu, a Chinese-American painter who immigrated to the US in 1991. The intent of this exhibit is also to highlight the personal and spiritual journey of the artist as he has sought to find and establish himself in the art world. Over the past ten years, the work of Qimin Liu has been placed squarely in the school of both Philadelphia Realism and as a direct descendent of the New York "Ashcan" School of artists, having gathered much national and international acclaim. This exhibit runs from March 3 through April 14, 2012.
