Transcontinental Pie Inspector's Grand Adventure and Pie Competition

Dr. Candice Weigle-Spier & Michael Spier will share their 2010 adventure of a lifetime, a self-contained bicycle trip from Anacortes in the state of Washington to Madison, Connecticut.

A year in the planning and 105 days in execution, this trip was a celebration of Candice’s 60th birthday. It also became a celebration of human kindness, community, family, and the beauty of North America.

Pies will be judged and ribbons awarded for the following:

Apple,Sweet Potato,Other Fruits & Berries,Cream or Pudding,Pumpkin,Nut,Squash,Any other dessert pie

Gold ribbon will be awarded for Overall Grand Champion Pie.

Rules:

• Please state whether crust is from scratch or ready made
• Include recipe if you wish
• Put your name on pie plate bottom
• Pies must be at church by 1 p.m.

After judging is over samples will be available for $1. This will be followed by the People’s Choice Award.
