False Bomb Threat Made At Hotel, New London Police Say

A police investigation determined there was no credible threat to public safety.

NEW LONDON, CT — A bomb threat reported at a New London hotel Tuesday morning was not found to be credible, according to police.

The threat was made at the Regency Inn and Suites, located at 269 North Frontage Road, at 8:14 a.m.

Officers responded, securing the location and establishing a perimeter. They requested assistance from the fire department and other agencies.

An investigation determined there was no credible threat to public safety. The scene was cleared.

Police said they take all threats to public safety seriously and respond "with appropriate resources to ensure the protection of our community." Making false bomb threats is a "serious criminal offense" under state law, according to police.
