Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. The City of New London Police and Fire personnel responded to the area of Colman Street near Cedar Grove Avenue at approximately 7:37 p.m. Saturday, June 13.Police received a report of a motorcyclist down in the roadway.New London Fire Department personnel transported the injured man to the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital Emergency Room for treatment.He succumbed to his injuries sustained in the one vehicle accident and was pronounced dead at the emergency room at 7:58 p.m., Deputy Chief Peter Reichard said.New London Police Accident Reconstructionists and members of the Detective Bureau remained on scene. The investigation is ongoing.Any witnesses to the accident are asked to contact the New London Police Department at 860-447-5262.
