Fire Breaks Out In New London Restaurant
A New London restaurant is closed until further notice due to a fire early Thursday morning.
NEW LONDON, CT — Muddy Waters Cafe in New London suffered a fire and will be closed until further notice. The fire occurred before business hours, and no one was injured in the incident, according to a Facebook post from the restaurant.
"We want to thank our local fire and police departments for their quick response time and helping to put the fire out safely," the post reads. "We look forward to getting to work and get Muddy Waters reopened as soon as possible so that we can serve you all again!"
Bank Street was closed due to the fire Thursday morning, WTNH News-8 reported.

In 2021, Muddy Waters was the setting for a Christmas movie, according to Hearst Connecticut. Muddy Waters Café was utilized for a Hallmark movie filming, according to a 2021 post on the eatery's Facebook page.
