Fire In New London Snarls Traffic, Closes Roads: Police
Colman Street between Jefferson Avenue and Walden Street has since reopened to traffic, according to a report.
NEW LONDON, CT — New London firefighters on Saturday battled a two-home fire that snarled traffic and prompted police to ask residents and motorists to avoid the area.
According to New London police, numerous emergency vehicles responded to a fire in the area of Fuller and Colman streets. The blaze was deemed under control shortly before 1:45 p.m.
Colman Street between Jefferson Avenue and Walden Street was closed to traffic but has since reopened, News 8 reported.
