Foundation Recognizes New London Police Dispatcher

A New London police dispatcher is being lauded for her work on a weapons/domestic incident call involving a potentially barricaded person.

NEW LONDON, CT — A New London police dispatcher has been recognized by the Kyle Plush Answer the Call Foundation. Dispatcher Jennifer James was recognized "for her efforts during a weapons call/domestic incident with a potentially barricaded armed subject," according to a police Facebook post.

"Thank you for 'Answering The Call To Be Your Best Self' to keep community members safe," the post reads. "We truly appreciate your dedication and service to our community!"

The foundation supports 911 best practices and is dedicated to "uplifting families and communities to live their best lives and advocate for common sense public policy that fosters safer, friendlier, and more resilient communities," according to its website.
