Gateway Wins Contract For State Pier In New London
State Pier may become a site of an offshore wind power hub.

NEW LONDON, CT - The Connecticut Port Authority has awarded Gateway LLC New London with the contract to operate State Pier for the next 20 years. The Day reported that more than 64 companies across the globe were recruited for the job.
The site is being evaluated as a potential offshore wind hub. The company is partnering with Deepwater Wind, which is developing a 300-megawatt facility off Block Island.
