Health District Lifts Swimming Advisory For New London Beach

NEW LONDON, CT — The Ledge Light Health District has lifted swimming advisories that were in effect for four area towns. Swimming advisories were in effect for the following areas due to elevated bacteria levels:

Roger's Lake (Hains Park) - Old Lyme
Black Point Beach Club (Nehantic) - East Lyme
Mumford Cove - Groton
Mitchell College Beach - New London

However, those advisories were lifted after samples taken Friday were found not to have elevated bacteria levels.
