Health Officials Issue COVID Update In New London County

NEW LONDONC COUNTY, CT — The Ledge Light Health District has issued a warning to area residents due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The district posted the following on Facebook:

We know this is not the post you would like to see but just a reminder that COVID is still with us and right now seems to be going around our community!

While many people will experience a mild case, some people are still ending up very ill and hospitalized...please take care of yourselves and your community by staying home or masking up when you're not feeling well.

When you have COVID rest matters! Contact your healthcare provider about antivirals, especially if you have a chronic disease, and go to the emergency room if you are having trouble breathing, have persistent pain or pressure in your chest, new confusion, are not able to stay awake, or notice your lips, skin or nail beds are pale, blue or gray.
