ECSO Season Opens October 24, 2015

The ECSO opens its 69th season with Ludwig Van Beethoven’s heroic Leonore Overture No. 3, a work that musically personifies the overcoming of obstacles through strength and love. Guest artist David Shifrin then joins the ECSO to perform the ever-popular and conversational Clarinet Concerto in A by Mozart, one of the classical giant’s last compositions. Richard Strauss’s mighty Ein Heldenleben (A Hero’s Life) closes out the evening with soaring melodies and quotes from his many tone poems as listeners are taken on a musical journey sure to inspire.
