Greater New London Clergy Association, OutCT, and representatives from City of New London are hosting a public forum on Wed. June 29th as a follow-up to the New London Vigil for Orlando. The event is to take social action steps on some of the issues that came out of the recent tragedy. We will be focusing on vulnerable populations with concentration on LGBTQ community along with ways we can build allies and educate public. Some community outreach and advocacy projects will be presented along with resources on faith, lgbtq matters, gun control, and security and safety.
In addition to host organizations, representatives will speak from CHRO (Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities), CT Against Gun Violence and New London Police and Fire Department. There will be a speaking program followed by one-on-one conversations in the meeting hall where you can express your concerns, desire for fairness along with steps to take action. During this time, you can sign-up for mailing lists, commit to volunteering, and/or ask more questions.
