ICE Issues Notification About Agents In New London

The federal immigration enforcement agency told the emergency dispatch center they would be in the city, according to a report.

NEW LONDON, CT — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials notified New London's emergency dispatch center that they would be in the city Monday morning, according to The Day of New London.

However, city officials were unaware if ICE had apprehended anyone.

Mayor Michael Passero said that a notification from the federal immigration enforcement agency was very rare. There were reports of ICE agents in the city, one of which was deemed credible.
