Injured Seagull Euthanized, New London Police Investigating
Police are looking for video footage of the area.
NEW LONDON, CT — Police say they are investigating after an injured seagull had to be euthanized.
At 8 a.m. Friday, an animal control officer responded to the area of State and South Water streets near the Fishers Island Ferry terminal for a report of an injured seagull. The bird had "significant injury" to its bill, and it ended up having to be euthanized due to the severity of the injury, police said.
Police are looking for video footage of the area. The incident is under investigation.
