An Irish Rowing Regatta

The New London Currach Rowers (NLCR) will hold their annual Irish Rowing Regatta from the Customs House Pier at the New London Waterfront Park. Come and cheer on the only Connecticut currach club as they race against teams from the North American Currach Association (NACA). As members of NACA, the NLCR promote currach racing and Celtic maritime heritage. A currach is a boat made of waterproof material over a light wood frame, traditionally propelled by means of oars or a sail.
