Kids in New London County Coping with Results of the Presidential Election

After an emotional election, kids and teens across New London County are trying to figure out what to make of the outcome.

Kids across New London County are coming to terms with the surprising results of Tuesday’s Presidential election, The Day reported.

A Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School teacher asked kids Wednesday morning to write down words that expressed their feelings on the results, according to The Day. The teacher said many wrote down words like “shocked” and “anxious.”

New London County kids are dealing with the outcome in different ways, with a Trump-supporting Montville Board of Education member’s daughter being told by a classmate they could not be friends, The Day reported. Inversely, a Norwich middle school principal said no issues had been reported yet.
