It is great to see some communities thriving economically in these tough times. On my ride home last week I decided to take a more scenic route and chose to drive through Killingworth as I had not been that way in a few years.
I was very pleased to see construction happening on Rt 81 near the Fire Station by where the town garage and school are. Looks like someone in investing a lot of money is some project. There seems to be a large footprint dug out for a foundation or footings. It might be a community center or a retail complex. I will try to drive that way every few weeks to watch the progress.
At least someone has the money to do projects somewhere in this down economy. I hope this is a sign of good times to come.

Perhaps the wealthy from Killingworth will want to invest in a hip little city on the water, come to New London we would love to have you invest in our community.
